Akeredolu orders recruitment of 1000 primary school teachers

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has given approval for the recruitment of 1000 teachers with B.Ed. and NCE qualifications for specific schools across Ondo State. The Head of Service, Dare Aragbaiye, who announced the governor’s directive at a media briefing in Akure on issues in state public service, said government will also prioritise remitance of deductions in upcoming weeks. Shola Ilesanmi reports that Aragbaiye assured that government will not retrench or slash workers salaries due to dwindling resources amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
