Ondo State Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has said the State is proud of Ondo State-born Super Falcons’ defender, Oluwatosin Demehin declaring that she is the revelation of the tournament with her calm, maturity and classy performance at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The 21-year Old Oluwatosin Demehin who stars for FC Reins in France was a former player of Sunshine Queens, Rivers Angels before moving to France.

In his congratulatory message to the Ilaje-born footballer, the Acting Governor acknowledged her outstanding performance at the tournament as well as the entire Super Falcons players.

He described such eventful outing as a true reflection of loyalty, commitment and service to the nation.

Meanwhile, the office of the Acting Governor has reached out to Demehin in a bid to host and recognized her as one of the true Ambassadors of the State, but she has resumed back to her base in France where she claimed her service was urgently needed.

Consequently, she commended the State Government for the profound acknowledgement while she promised to partner with the State Government on activities aimed at promoting sports and other related events in the State.

It would be recalled that the Super Falcons had an incredible run at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup playing unbeaten in three of their group stage win, including a 3-2 win against the co-host, Australia.

The Super Falcons bowed out of the tournament in the round of 16 after losing to England 4-2 on penalties shootout after regulation time ended goalless.
