The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has commended the nation’s security agencies for the safe rescue of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members abducted in Kogi State.

Olawande, in a statement posted on his Facebook page, thanked God for the safe rescue of the corps members and expressed relief and joy for their families, colleagues and loved ones.

He commended the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), local security personnel and others involved in the coordinated operation that secured the victims’ freedom.

The minister described the courage, professionalism and determination of the security personnel as deeply appreciated, stressing the importance of continued efforts to ensure that every person affected by the incident was safely accounted for.

Olawande also expressed gratitude to the security agencies for their unwavering commitment to protecting the lives of young Nigerians and other citizens across the country.
