As the Director General says Nigeria has lost a Custodian of Conscience and Principled Leadership
The Management and entire workforce of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) Media Group under the leadership of the Director General/Chief Executive Hon. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson have been thrown into deep mourning following the transition of revered elder statesman and Afenifere Leader Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti.
The development was captured by the Corporate Communication Unit, Office of the DG/CE, as a mark of institutional honour to a man whose life defined service and statesmanship.
Reflecting on the headline, the Director General/Chief Executive Hon. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson described Pa Fasoranti’s exit as the fall of a true titan and a monumental loss to Ondo State, Yorubaland and Nigeria.
According to the DG/CE, the headline speaks to the essence of Pa Fasoranti who was not just an elder but an institution in himself.
“When we describe him as a titan and moral compass, we mean Nigeria has lost a custodian of democratic conscience and a beacon of principled leadership. Pa Fasoranti lived for truth, for justice and for the common good. His life was a masterclass in selflessness, courage and uncommon patriotism,” Hon. Odusola-Stevenson stated.
The OSRC Media Group Boss eulogised the late nonagenarian as a distinguished educationist, nationalist and pro-democracy icon whose imprint on Nigeria’s socio-political evolution remains indelible. He noted that as a towering figure in the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation Afenifere, Pa Fasoranti remained resolute in his advocacy for equity, restructuring, good governance and the protection of democratic values.
The Corporate Communication Unit further quoted the DG/CE as saying that Pa Fasoranti’s commitment to the welfare of the people, his discipline and integrity earned him reverence across political, cultural and generational divides.
“Ondo State has lost one of its most illustrious sons. His life of integrity and visionary leadership will continue to illuminate the path for media professionals, political leaders and the younger generation,” the DG added.
While acknowledging that his transition has created a yawning vacuum, the OSRC Media Group affirmed that the ideals he championed will remain evergreen in Nigeria’s quest for a just, united and prosperous nation.
The Corporation through its Corporate Communication Unit extends heartfelt condolences to the Fasoranti family, the people of Akure Kingdom, the leadership of Afenifere and the Government and people of Ondo State, praying for the repose of his soul and fortitude for all who mourn this irreparable loss.
