Before President Muhammadu Buhari’s first special Covid-19 broadcast,on March 29, Nigeria had confirmed 97cases with 1 death.
At the last broadcast on 27th of April, the figure had increased to 1,273 cases across 32 States and the FCT with 40 deaths.
Even after the broadcast, the figure continues to increase on a double and triple digit cases.
This has raised questions about how appropriate was the president’s pronouncement of gradual relax of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and fct badly hit by the pandemic.
