A Professor of applied mathematics Olusegun Olotu has advocated for the employment of professionals to handle courses especially pure mathematics in Nigerian universities.
Professor Olotu at the 123rd inaugural lecture of the Federal University Of Technology Akure said Nigeria is on the path of having acute shortage of mathematics teachers.
