Ondo State epidemiologist sounds alarm over rapid spread of Omicron variant

The Ondo State epidemiologist, Dr Stephen Fagbemi has expressed concern over the fast-spreading omicron variant of COVID-19. Dr Fagbemi called for more testing by both states and federal government but noted that the variant appears less severe. OSRC’s Olatomiwa Donald-Falayi reports that many countries have scrapped or retained few covid-related restrictions as surging cases are weighed against vaccination rates.
