Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Morocco in the third round of the African qualifiers for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games following their emphatic victory over Comoros.

The Nigerian side secured a 5–0 win in the second leg of their second-round encounter at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, completing a 7–0 aggregate triumph after winning the first leg 2–0.

Toni Payne and Uchenna Kanu scored twice each, while Christy Ucheibe converted a penalty to seal the convincing victory. However, the result was overshadowed by an injury concern involving captain Rasheedat Ajibade, who was forced off following a collision.

The encounter against Morocco is expected to provide a tougher test for the 10-time African champions as they pursue qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games. Morocco advanced to the third round after the Republic of Congo withdrew from the competition.

The two-legged tie is scheduled to take place between February 23 and March 6, 2027. Only two African nations will qualify for the women’s football tournament at the Los Angeles Olympics.
