The Akure residence of the late Afenifere leader and elder statesman, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has continued to receive a steady stream of dignitaries from across the country, as political leaders and prominent figures in the Yoruba socio-cultural space pay tribute to a man widely celebrated for his humility, dignity and selfless service.
Among those who visited the family was former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, who testified to the late elder statesman’s faith in God until his final days and his lifelong commitment to the unity and progress of the Yoruba people.
Pa Fasoranti, a revered figure in Nigeria’s political and socio-cultural circles, was admired for his steadfast convictions, simple lifestyle and lifelong dedication to public service.
As tributes continue to pour in, visitors say his life and values offer enduring lessons for current and future generations, especially at a time when integrity and selflessness remain essential in leadership.
Also paying tribute, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, described the late Afenifere leader as a man who shunned the politics of bitterness and stood firmly against the misuse of public resources for personal gain.
Governor Makinde said Pa Fasoranti remained devoted to purposeful leadership, dignity and integrity, values he upheld throughout his political journey.
Other political figures at both state and national levels also hailed Pa Fasoranti as a role model whose life reflected contentment, honesty and principled leadership.
