President Bola Tinubu is expected to present the 2027 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly before the end of 2026, Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Doris Uzoka-Anite, has said.

Uzoka-Anite disclosed this after the Federal Executive Council meeting chaired by the President at the State House, Abuja.

She said the council also endorsed the National Development Plan 2026–2030, alongside new measures to address child stunting and strengthen food security.

The minister announced the approval of a Revised National Policy on Food and Nutrition 2026, which replaces older frameworks and seeks to secure sustainable financing while improving collaboration among agriculture, livestock, health, education and development partners.

The announcements came after the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit, held in Abuja from October 26 to 28.
