Wife of Ondo State governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on Tuesday empowered hundreds of Widows in Akure South Local government area to mark the 2020 International Widows’ Day.
The event held at the Council Secretariat in Akure is in furtherance of the First Lady’s effort to empower 8000 widows across the state.
OSRC TV’s Timilehin Falade reports that the commemoration also featured a capturing exercise for the widows on the database launched by Mrs Anyanwu-Akeredolu to enable the government plan for them.
