Beating the odds: Khadijat Idris’ wrestling journey from Akure to Tokyo




From the streets of Ayedun in Akure Ondo State, Nigeria, Female wrestler, Khadijat Idris began to aspire for the highest highs in sports.

In the space of five years, she has risen to prominence by competing at the Olympics and her family have begun to relish her prospects despite hurdles she contended with at the start of the journey.
