The Alale of Akungba Akoko, Oba Sunday Adeyeye has sought more support for efforts of the Ondo state Government in flattening the curve of COVID-19 in the state.
Oba Adeyeye while leading special prayers for his community, an annual ritual preceeding the new yam festival known as ‘Akun day’ said the virus can only be defeated with active collaboration of the people.
OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi visited Akungba community and reports that the 2020 new yam festival was not marked due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
