The Director-General of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) Media Group, Mr. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across Ondo State and Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud celebration, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, the Director-General described Eid-el-Maulud as an important occasion for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life, teachings and virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his commitment to peace, compassion, justice, humility, patience, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
Mr. Odusola-Stevenson noted that the teachings of the Holy Prophet remain relevant to the challenges confronting society today, stressing the need for individuals and communities to embrace mutual respect, love, understanding and peaceful resolution of differences.
He urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion not only for celebration but also for spiritual renewal and deeper commitment to the values of honesty, kindness, sacrifice, forgiveness and service to humanity, which he said would contribute significantly to building a peaceful and prosperous society.
The OSRC Director-General called on Muslims and people of other faiths in Ondo State to continue to promote religious harmony and peaceful coexistence, noting that the progress and development of the State require the collective efforts of all citizens irrespective of religious, ethnic or political differences.
He further encouraged the people of the State to support the administration of the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, in its efforts to provide purposeful leadership, improve infrastructure, strengthen the economy and enhance the welfare and security of the people.
According to him, the media also has an important role to play in promoting peace, responsible citizenship and unity, assuring that OSRC Media Group will continue to use its platforms to disseminate credible information, educate the public and promote programmes and initiatives capable of fostering peace and development in Ondo State.
While congratulating the Muslim community on the celebration, Mr. Odusola-Stevenson prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Ondo State and Nigeria.
He also prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers and acts of worship of the faithful and grant families across the State abundant blessings, good health, progress and protection.
The Director-General, on behalf of the management and staff of OSRC Media Group, wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Maulud celebration, urging everyone to carry the virtues of the occasion beyond the celebration and into their daily lives.
