The independent national electoral commission, INEC has sought the support of traditional rulers in Ondo state for a hitch free governorship election in October.
INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu at a meeting with the council of Obas in the state at the Cocoa hall of the governor’s office in Akure, also told the traditional rulers that the commission has implemented 12 of the 14 scheduled activities for the October election.
The INEC Boss said their was no going back of the deployment of technology to guarantee the credibility of the election.
He assured that the commission will consolidate the gains of the Edo state election and appealed to the obas to step up their support across their various domains.
