As the count down to saturday’s governorship poll winds up, election monitoring groups have charged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to
ensure early commencement of the exercise, especially in difficult and riverine areas.
The groups including Yiaga Africa, Center for Democracy and Development, CDD, and the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room tasked INEC on impartiality, and compliance by the people to COVID-19 protocols.
OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi reports that the groups have also set up situation rooms to track and report the election.
