The Ondo State APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has held a strategic interface meeting with candidates of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the APC State Secretariat, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu House, Akure.

In attendance were the State Secretary of the APC, Alex Kalejaye, who represented the State Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, the Director-General of the PCC, Rt. Hon. Ola Oguntimehin, the Chairman of the Media and Strategic Communication Subcommittee, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, and candidates of the party for the 2027 elections.

According to the communique released from the PCC, the meeting was convened to review the progress of campaigns across the state, harmonize individual campaign plans and align all activities with the unified strategy of the party as represented by the Campaign Council.

The Council reiterated its irrevocable commitment to total victory for all APC candidates from President, to National and the House of Assembly, commencing with the Presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled for January 16, 2027, and urged all members to go into the elections as one united family, eschewing bitterness, misrepresentation and anti-party activities.

The communique emphasized that the 2027 election is about the APC and the future of Nigeria under a tested, trusted, focused and dedicated leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be supported by a robust legislative majority, noting that therein lies the strength of fixing Nigeria.

The Council further called for one party, one message, one election, one victory philosophy, urging all candidates to campaign for all APC candidates at all levels and to work as one indivisible team as typified by the party’s logo, the Broom.

Candidates highlighted operational challenges and emphasized the need to synchronize campaign plans into a formidable, unified platform for cohesion, efficiency and prudent management of human and material resources.

The Council resolved to pool human and material resources together to secure resounding victory for President Tinubu and all legislative candidates and declared that ONDO FOR TINUBU is not mere sloganeering but a historic charge to deliver a minimum of One Million votes for President Tinubu and all National Assembly candidates on January 16, 2027, to sustain Ondo State’s leading position in the South West and Nigeria.

According to the communique, candidates agreed to vigorously propagate the landmark achievements of President Tinubu’s administration in Ondo State in the last three and a half years, including the appointment of three Honourable Ministers, two Special Advisers and Managing Directors of parastatals from the State, the approval and take-off of FUTA Teaching Hospital, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, the approval of the Olokola Deep Seaport in Ilaje, and massive road infrastructure projects including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Ore-Akure, Ore-Benin, and Akure-Owo-Benin road networks which upon completion will be of immense economic benefit to the state.

The Council also commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his sustained moral, financial and logistical support and for his transformative achievements in governance, and affirmed that the election of APC members into the National Assembly is paramount to providing a strong legislative base for the consolidation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
