Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Ondo State Directorate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has declared an irrevocable commitment to deliver total victory for all candidates of the party, in a strategic meeting that underscored unity, cohesion and a singular philosophy of victory.
The strategic interface meeting, held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the APC State Secretariat, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu House, Akure, brought together the leadership of the PCC Directorate and all APC candidates for the 2027 elections, comprising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, three Senatorial candidates, nine House of Representatives candidates and twenty-six House of Assembly candidates.
The meeting, convened to review campaign progress across the state and harmonize individual campaign plans into the Party’s unified strategy, resolved to prosecute the elections as one indivisible family.
In his charge, the Director-General of the PCC, Rt. Hon. Victor Adekanye Olabimtan, congratulated all flag-bearers on their emergence and reiterated the position of the Leader of the Party in the State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, that Ondo APC will go into the election as one united family.
According to the communique jointly e-signed by the DG and the Secretary of the Council, Hon. Ola Oguntimehin, Olabimtan warned against bitterness, misrepresentation and anti-party activities, stressing that the Directorate holds sacred its mandate to deliver victory for all candidates, commencing with the Presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled for January 16, 2027.
“The 2027 election is about the APC and the future of Nigeria under a tested, trusted, focused and dedicated leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be supported by a robust legislative majority in the National Assembly. There lies the strength of fixing Nigeria,” Olabimtan stated.
Corroborating the call for synergy, the Secretary of the PCC, Hon. Ola Oguntimehin, charged all candidates to campaign for all APC candidates at all levels, propounding a unified campaign mantra: One APC! One Election! One Victory! Joy for All!!!
He enjoined all candidates to work as one indivisible team, as typified by the party’s symbol, the Broom.
In their presentations, the candidates highlighted operational challenges and emphasized the need to synchronize campaign plans into a formidable, unified platform for cohesion, efficiency and prudent management of human and material resources.
Responding on behalf of National and State Assembly candidates, former Secretary to the State Government and immediate past National Vice Chairman (South West) of the APC, Dr. D. I. Kekemeke, commended the Directorate for the timely interface and lauded Governor Aiyedatiwa’s exemplary support.
In his scholarly appraisal, Dr. Kekemeke noted: “I have been long enough in the political space of Ondo State. I have witnessed both party administration and governance thus far, and none is comparable to Governor Aiyedatiwa in motivation and consistent engagement with members through stakeholders’ meetings at all levels.”
The assurance of the party’s leadership was conveyed by the State Secretary of the APC, Alex Kalejaye, who represented the State Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, urging candidates to remain focused on propagating the transformative achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Six-Point Resolutions
The meeting rose with six far-reaching resolutions, including the resolve to pool human and material resources together to secure a resounding victory for President Tinubu and all 38 legislative candidates.
Significantly, the Directorate declared that ONDO FOR TINUBU is not mere political sloganeering, but a historic charge that must be pursued democratically to deliver a minimum of One Million votes for President Tinubu and all National Assembly candidates on January 16, 2027, to sustain Ondo State’s leading position in the South West and Nigeria.
The candidates also agreed to vigorously propagate the landmark achievements of President Tinubu’s administration in Ondo State in the last three and a half years, including the appointment of three Honourable Ministers, two Special Advisers and Managing Directors of Parastatals from the State; the approval and take-off of FUTA Teaching Hospital; the Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo; the approval of the Olokola Deep Seaport in Ilaje; and massive road infrastructure projects including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Ore-Akure, Ore-Benin, and Akure-Owo-Benin road networks.
The meeting highly commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his sustained moral, financial and logistical support to the party and the Directorate, and affirmed that the election of APC members into the National Assembly is paramount to providing a strong legislative base for the consolidation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Finally, the meeting urged all APC members to demonstrate the high sense of Omoluabi for which Ondo people are known when the State hosts the Presidential Campaign Rally at the Akure Sports Stadium on November 11, 2026, describing it as a carnival-like event that must be marked with decorum and conviviality.
