The Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Director General of OSRC/Orange FM Media Group, Mr. Kenneth Stevenson Odusola, for granting permanent employment to temporary staff, thereby eliminating casualisation of media workers.
This commendation was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the NUJ Congress held on November 27, 2025, at the Press Centre, Alagbaka, Akure. The Congress, which was presided over by the State Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Governor and the DG/CE in improving the welfare of media workers.
The Union noted that this move is a significant step towards promoting the rights and dignity of media workers and urged other employers in the industry to follow suit. This gesture is a testament to the commitment of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the OSRC Media Group to excellence and professionalism in the media industry, and a beacon of hope for media workers who have been struggling with the challenges of casualisation.
