Ondo Tribunal: Why I closed my case without calling my over 400 witnesses – Jegede

Despite listing over 400 witnesses and 28 exhibits with additional nine days for defence, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, its candidate in the Ondo October 10 2020 governorship election have closed their case before election petitions tribunal.

Counsel to the petitioners, Onyechi
Ikpeazu, SAN said they chose to close and narrow their case to the evidences given by Jegede the star witness and exhibits presented before the court.

OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi reports that tribunal has fixed tuesday January 19 2021 for INEC, the first respondents to open defence for evidence in rebuttal.
