A Kano-based tailor, Abdulkadir Hassanul Basari, is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest non-stop sewing marathon. The challenge began on Wednesday and is expected to end on Monday night. Basari is undertaking the Sew-a-Thon at the Ibrahim Usman Yakasai Sports Complex of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria in Kano.
