Tension in Sokoto over arrest of Deborah Yakubu’s killers.
Scores of Muslim students joined street urchins have reportedly converged on streets protesting the arrest of alleged killers of Deborah Yakubu, a female Christian student of Sokoto state college of education.
Deborah was allegedly killed in a mob action over religious posts on a departmental whassapp platform.
The police claimed to have arrested two of the perpetrators but this did not go down well with some religious fanatics who insisted that the crime was justified as a defense of Islam and therefore demanded their release.
The protesters were seen making burn fires while chanting songs.
