Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Friday accepted the blame for the gruesome murder of 40 worshipers at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo by suspected terrorists on June 5th this year.
Akeredolu, who betrayed emotion at the funeral mass for the victims held in Owo, regretted government’s failure to protect the innocent believers from the gunmen who ended their lives in the house of God.
OSRC’s Richard Ilesanmi reports that the emotionally charged funeral mass was attended by top government functionaries, members of the Muslim community among others.
