The chairman of the Ondo State football association, Otunba Sunday Dele Ajayi has been elected as a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Executive Committee.
Otunba Ajayi had 12 votes to emerge one of the representatives of the Southwest region alongside the incumbent from Ogun State, Ganiyu Majekodunmi.
It was not a clean sweep for the sunshine state as another flag bearer, Ayodeji Adegbenro polled 3 votes to lose his ambition of becoming executive member of the soccer ruling body in Nigeria.
Mr Ibrahim Gusau had emerged the president with 39 votes in the second round while Felix Ayansi Agwu emerged the new 1st Vice President of the NFF.
Ahmed Fresh was elected the new Chairman of Chairmen while Hon. Essien Udofot, Aisha Falode, Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Babagana Kalli, Timothy Henman, and Magaret Icheen became members of the NFF executive committee.
Meanwhile, election of South East representatives was suspended due to inconsistency of electoral guidelines with NFF and FIFA statues.
The election of the zone will now hold at a later date.
