Fire guts petrol station in Akure

A fuel station located on Aule road in Akure, the Ondo state capital caught fire on Monday afternoon.
The Independent marketing outfit was about discharging product from a truck when the fire broke out.
Eye witnesses said the station was selling premium motor spirit otherwise known as petrol with some motorcyclists on queue to buy before the inferno.
Nigerians have been battling with acute shortage of fuel with its price soaring to five hundred naira per litre.
