President Bola Tinubu on Monday opened his doors to the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike; former Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi; and Senator Godswill Akpabio.
The meeting with Wike at the Presidential Villa, Abuja is the second time in three days.
Although the reason for their visit was not immediately clear, it is believed to be connected to choices of ministerial positions and the upcoming election of the principal officers of the National Assembly.
Akpabio is the preferred candidate of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) for the position of Senate President.
Wike told State House correspondents after meeting President Tinubu last week that the move was strictly to show support as a Nigerian, denying insinuations that he wants to defect to the APC.
