The roles of communities in reducing high rate of mortality and morbidity among children and adult in contemporary Nigerian society cannot be under-estimated or taken for granted.
A Professor of Community Medicine and Public Health at the University of Medical Sciences, UNIMED Ondo, Wasiu Adebimpe in his inaugural lecture also tasked policymakers in the health sector to engage the community and it’s institutions more in the area of disease control and prevention.
