Ondo State Sports Commissioner, Otunba Bamidele Ologunloluwa has outlined plans to discover more talents in other sports in the state aside Football.
The vibrant Sports Commissioner disclosed that the Ondo State Sports Festival will be coming anytime soon with the bill to have Ondo State Sports Trust Fund established almost sail through at the Legislative house.
“One of the proposals I made to the State cabinet is to our own State Sports Festival and it was approved and will be coming up any moment from now.
“I believe doing that will help us to fish out more talents that are abound in the state especially in the grassroots.
“We are harnessing talents from schools through their inter-house sports, we send our coaches there to identify talents, monitor them and later bring them together for proper training.” He said.
Otunba Bamidele Ologunloluwa however reassured that the State would raise a strong Team Ondo that will be among the top five states in the next National Sports Festival, just as he commended the Sports stakeholders in the state for their supports on the success achieved so far.
