Three Oyo monarchs have reportedly died on the spot in an auto crash that occurred at Arinkinkin area Ogbomoso on Friday 1 December 2023.
The accident reportedly occurred when their vehicle rammed into an oncoming truck killing them instantly.
The three traditional rulers were from Oriire Local Government Area in the Ogbomoso geo-political zone, Oyo State
The three monarchs were said to be on their way to the funeral of a relative of one of their colleagues in the zone, Oloolo of Oolo Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.
The dead monarchs include Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all from Oriire Local Government.
A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, confirmed the incident, saying their remains have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
The fourth person involved in the sustained serious injuries is reportedly receiving treatment at the teaching hospital, the source revealed, Saturday.
