Gbenga Oluwajana of the OSRC media group has bagged the 2023 sports reporter of the year award.
The NUJ chairman Ondo state council, Prince Leke Adegbite presented the award to Mr Gbenga Oluwajana who doubles as sports reporter and presenter winning the Ayo Ogedengbe sports reporter of year BROADCAST CATEGORY.
Oluwajana who is also the treasurer of the sports writers association of Nigeria Ondo state chapter was given the meritorious award for his contributions in the development of sports writing in the state and beyond.
Reacting shortly after receiving the award, Oluwajana said he was overwhelmed by the recognition, noting that it would spur him to redouble his efforts to serve the society better.
He said ‘I want to thank the top management of the OSRC media group chaired by Mr Kunle Adebayo for giving me the platform to explore my potentials.
“I want to dedicate this award to all sports men and women who through their intense trainings and hard work strive to excel and shine to Ondo state on the high pedestal in the world of sports”
“This award will spur me to do more and I will continue to serve the society better”.
