Ondo Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa says all hands must be on deck to actualize the task of consolidating the gains of the present administration in the state.

In a State wide broadcast to the people of Ondo State, Aiyedatiwa acknowledged the giant strides of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu which have transformed every sector of the state.

Government House Correspondent Gbenga Oluwajana reports that following the letter of medical leave forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the House confirmed that his deputy Lucky Aiyedatiwa is to assume the responsibilities of the Governor in acting capacity until there is a written declaration to the contrary.

Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his address thanked the people of the state for their steadfastness and support stressing that unity of purpose is essential to achieve the task ahead.

Aiyedatiwa emphasized on inclusiveness to building a shared future that will accelerate the state to greater heights.

He thanked the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other stakeholders for being part of the peace process and providing succor to Ondo state.

While accepting the task to serve as acting Governor, he appealed for renewed unity to consolidate on the achievements of his Principal, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Aiyedatiwa also enjoined the people of the state to continue to pray for the full recovery of Governor Akeredolu so that he can resume duty in earnest.
