The Director General/Chief Executive of OSRC Media Group, Hon. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, has officially welcomed 40 newly recruited staff into the Media group, emphasizing that their engagement aligns with Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s “OUR EASE” agenda, which prioritizes empowerment through human capacity development.
Speaking during an orientation session held in Akure, the DG congratulated long-serving contract staff recently transitioned into permanent roles, describing their elevation as a reward for dedication and loyalty. He commended their resilience, noting that their regularization embodies the “E” for Empowerment in the Governor’s developmental blueprint.
Mr. Odusola-Stevenson also introduced the new staff to the mandate of OSRC Media Group as a leading public broadcast institution committed to informing, educating, and entertaining citizens, while promoting Ondo State’s cultural heritage and development. He highlighted the corporation’s three major platforms, OSRC TV, Sunshine 96.5 Alalaye FM, and Orange 94.5 FM, as formidable voices in public broadcasting.
The DG outlined key milestones recorded under his administration within the past ten months, attributing the success to strategic investment in infrastructure, technology, and human capital development. Some of the achievements include:
Connection to the National Grid for stable transmission
Purchase of a 3.5KW transmitter to strengthen Sunshine 96.5FM broadcast
Reconstruction of the burnt Marketing & Sales office through private funding
Revival of the Lagos Marketing Office
Upgraded staff clinic with new drugs and personnel
Repair of operational vehicles for improved mobility
Long-awaited staff promotions
Commencement of 24-hour transmission from October 1, 2025
Installation of C-Band Satellite Uplink for DSTV/GOTV connectivity
Deployment of industry-grade lightning arrestor, UPS, and studio upgrades
Construction of new studio sets and overall content quality enhancement
Improved staff welfare and recruitment of 40 employees
He stated that these advancements have repositioned OSRC Media Group as a competitive and innovative broadcast institution with expanded reach and improved service delivery.
Welcoming the new recruits and the regularized staff, the DG charged them to uphold professionalism, innovation, and teamwork to sustain the organization’s growth trajectory. He also reassured contract staff still awaiting regularization that their efforts are valued and will be duly recognized.
Hon. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson concluded by reaffirming the organization’s commitment to excellence and its support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s agenda aimed at rebuilding and strengthening institutions across Ondo State.
During the orientation session, the Director of Finance and Administration, Olusegun Fadayomi, took the new employees through the ethics of broadcasting and the rules and regulations of the Media Group. He advised them to reciprocate the gesture of the government by contributing to the development of the media group.
