Public Health Services:Akure South trains Food Vendors on hygiene

As part of efforts to guard against incidences of communicable diseases in the country, Community Health Workers in Akure South local government area of Ondo State have embarked on training and retraining exercise for food Vendors in the area. According to the Director, Environmental Service Department in the council area, Mrs Olubukola Adetuyi, the programme is to ensure that the participants comply with the statutory requirements of law to protect human health. Omorinola Hungbeji reports that the exercise which took place in Akure, the Ondo State capital is expected to train about one thousand food Vendors.
