The People of Ondo State have been advised to cultivate the habit of planting trees in their domains as this will effectively help in mitigating the negative impact of climate change.
The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu stated this during an annual tree planting programme at the premises of the Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko.
OSRC’s Joy Pius Reports that the programme is the initiative of the University’s Governing Council and its Department of Forestry and Wildlife management of Faculty of Agriculture and it seeks to encourage careand nuture for the environment.
