The Vice Chancellor of Achievers University, Prof. Samuel Aje is dead.
Prof. Aje died on Thursday morning.
His death was announced by the Pro-Chancellor of the University, Dr Bode Ayorinde via a message made available to staff of the institution and obtained by Precision Online Newspaper.
Since the announcement, condolence messages have been pouring in from staff and students of the University who extolled the contributions of the VC to their development.
The late VC was a Professor of French and Applied Linguistics at the University of Jos, Plateau state.
A Former Director General, Nigeria French Language Village, Badagry, Lagos for ten years, Prof Aje attended Universte de Paris VIII Vincennes-Saint Denis where he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in 1979.
Prof Aje was also a consultant in the delivery of foreign language acquisition skills.
He assumed duty at Achievers University in June 2020.
