Wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has challenged media professionals to join forces with other stakeholders in the battle against gender discrimination in the country. Addressing newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Mrs Anyanwu-Akeredolu said journalists, as members of the fourth estate of the realm have a crucial role to play in achieving an egalitarian society. OSRC’s Omorinola Hungbeji reports that the first lady has through her initiatives been championing gender equality in the country which she believes is key to national development.
