The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of Mr Albert Ojo, a senior member of Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
The Commissioner described the exit of the late Journalist as not just a big blow to members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm but a colossal loss to Ondo State, pointing out that his immense contributions to the practice of journalism will be greatly missed in the state.
Albert Ojo fondly called Baba Onidi was until his death a correspondent of Pilot Newspaper in the state.
The Commissioner noted that the vast experience of the deceased had gone untapped with his untimely transition even as he had made his mark as a leader and a vibrant journalist.
Otunba Akinlosotu who called on the family and relations of the late journalist to take solace in the Lord, admonished them to take consolation in the fact that longevity is not a measure of a life well spent but the sense of fulfillment and impact made.
While extending his condolences to the NUJ family, the commissioner opined that the best tribute that should be paid to the departed colleague is for NUJ to stay united and continue the lofty ideas and innovations of their late colleague.
He prayed to God to give the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
