Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority seeks urgent reticulation of Owena Dam by Ondo Govt

The Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority has appealed to the Ondo state government to intensify efforts on the reticulation of the Owena Multi-purpose Dam to address water challenges in the state. Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Ali Olanusi and the Managing Director, Saliu Ahmed during a visit to Dam reiterated federal government’s commitment to the treatment and maintenance of the facility. OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi reports that the agency has also begun plans to irrigate over 70 hectares of farmlands around the dam to boost food security in the state.
