COVID-19: New cases arise as Nigeria hits 131

Covid-19 cases have risen to 131 in Nigeria as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced 20 new cases on Monday.

out of the 20 new cases, 13 were recorded in Lagos State, 4 in Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo.

Reports has it that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, earlier announced that he tested positive for the virus.

The NCDC tweeted, “Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State.

“As of 09:00 pm on March 30, there are 131 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with two deaths.

“For a breakdown of cases by states in real-time, Lagos currently has 81 cases, FCT- 25, Ogun- three, Enugu- two, Ekiti- one, Oyo- eight, Edo- two, Bauchi- two, Osun – two, Rivers – one, Benue – one, and Kaduna also has three.”
