The Federal High Court judgement which ordered the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice to delete section 84(12) of the 2022 Amended Electoral Act has continued to generate divergent opinions.

The Court sitting in Umahia had declared the controversial subsection inconsistent with the 1999 Consitution.

OSRC’s Zaheed Aribisala in this report hears the opinion of legal practitioners on the matter.
