A 20-year-old girl, Ebun Oshatuyi has been murdered by yet-to-be identified persons at Okuta elerinla estate in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Found in her pool of blood by her parents around 5:30 PM in the living room on Monday, the attackers allegedly burgled the girl’s window to gain access into the house.
Mother of the girl, Mrs Oshatuyi told OSRC that her daughter was murdered when she returned from JAMB’s lesson.
She said the killers burgled the lady’s window, hid in the room and waited for her to enter before they carried out the dastardly act.
Mrs Oshatuyi explained that “when my husband and I got home, we met our daughter in a pool of blood with her hands tied and the killers left behind the axe and the pestle allegedly used to kill her.”
“They attempted to hang her because we saw a rope tied to our fan and a table they attempted to use.
We rushed her to the hospital with the hope of reviving her but the doctor told us she was dead.
We have already reported the matter to the police”.
