Residents of Eleyowo and Ilu Abo communities in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, devastated by the recent explosion in their communities are grateful to the Ondo State Media Group for the exclusive reports that ensured owners of the explosives paid adequate compensation.
The residents said the in-depth reports on the sad incident by the State Media Group, owners of OSRC TV, Alalaye 96.5fm and Orange 94.5fm forced owner of the explosives, Nigachem Nigeria Ltd out of hiding.
OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi again visited the communities and reports that the incident has thrown up a conversation on global best practices on transportation of explosives.
