Illegal Taxi Ticket Fee: Ondo Government suspends NURTW and RTEAN Activities

Ondo State government has suspended the operations of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) with immediate effect. Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on special duties Dr. Doyin Odebowale who briefed journalists in Akure, said henceforth no one is empowered to collect revenue from motorists on behalf of the state government. Government House Correspondent, Wahab Bankole reports that government has also directed Taxi Drivers to revert to the old fare of 50 naira per drop.
