The Ondo State Government has launched a surveillance around the proposed Akure New Stadium to prevent criminals from turning the uncompleted facility into a hideout.
Leading a special taskforce to comb the area on Tuesday, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu on Special Duties and Strategies, Dr Doyin Odebowale said government will not leave anything to chance on the security and welfare of its citizens.
OSRC’s Juliet Buna reports that the move followed the security concerns of residents around the area who feared that the bushy facility is becoming an abode for criminals.
