With no end in sight to the current hike in the price of automotive gas oil popularly called diesel, manufacturers and economic watchers have forecast a looming spike in unemployment rate in Nigeria.
The attendant implication is also projected to increase the level of insecurity and saturation of markets with substandard products which would negatively affect the value of money for product and services rendered.
OSRC’s Zaheed Aribisala reports that to prevent the effect of these negative signals on the economy, experts charged government to take urgent action to end the quagmire.
