ODIEC bars open air rallies for rescheduled August 22 council polls

The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission, ODIEC has announced a new date for the earlier postponed Chairmanship and Councillorship elections. ODIEC Chairman, Prof Yomi Dinakin at a briefing in Akure, said the election will now hold on Saturday August 22 2020. OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi reports that the commission ruled out open air rallies during the campaigns due to COVID-19 concerns.
