Ifon is in a mourning mood after the killing of Olufon, Oba Adegoke Adewusi, by unknown gunmen on Thursday while returning to the town after a function in Akure, Ondo State capital.
Though the monarch’s death has not been announced in line with traditions, the atmosphere in the town, especially in the palace confirmed the tragic incident.
OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi visited the town and reports that youths and leaders demanded better security and repair of damaged federal roads in the area to end kidnappings and other violent crimes.
