Government at all levels have been charged to encourage sign language among individuals, stressing that it will go a long way to bring about an egalitarian and inclusive society for all.
Those were the submissions of stakeholders at an event to mark the 2022 International Day of Sign Language and deaf awareness week held in Akure.
OSRC’s Joseph Ikugbonmire reports that the theme for this year’s event is “Building Inclusive Communities for All”.
