Former Governor of Borno State ,Senator Kassim Shettima has said that the news of his announcement as running-mate to the All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential candidate ,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT)got to him at an orphanage in Maiduguri,Borno state
Senator Shettima in his verified Facebook page few minutes ago said ” In fact, the announcement came in while I was mingling and trying to put a smile on the faces of the kids who mostly became orphans as a result of Boko Haram insurgency.
“Yesterday, prior to the official announcement of my nomination as the running mate to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu my intention was to visit 2 orphanages in Maiduguri ( to celebrate with the orphans in the spirit of the sallah festival. ” he said
