Sunshine Queens Football Club of Akure have progressed to the Super-Six playoffs of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League season. The Betty Babes thrashed Nasarawa Amazons 3-0 in their last game of the regular season at the Ondo State Sports Complex to seal their top-six finish. OSRC’s Abiodun Adewale reports that Sunshine Queens clinched the 6th position with 20 points from 13 matches to joining five other teams for a shot at the title and the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League ticket.
